Recapping This Week’s Apple Announcements with Thingee

TechTalk is back and in this episode, Rob & Jeff recap the recent Apple event: “Time Flies.” Without wasting another minute, let’s get right into the highlights from all of the announcements.

While the event was jam packed with exciting news, no new iPhone was announced. Apple did, however, spend quite a bit of time covering the new Apple Watch and other updates. Here’s our highlights:

• Apple Watch Series 6 → Has beautiful new colors, sensors for knowing your blood oxygen level in 15 seconds, and is 2x brighter & 20% faster.
• Apple Watch SE →  Starts at an affordable $279 price point with the same size display and most of the bells & whistles of the Series 6 but has the Series 5 older processors.
• Fitness+ →  A new subscription offering that delivers on-demand, streaming workout videos and the promise of more videos added weekly. Fitness+ is included in the Premier AppleOne tier.
• AppleOne → Bundled services at a better price with several tiers available to upgrade the family or add more services.
• New iPad Air → Was entirely redesigned to look more like the iPad Pro, has a 40% faster processor, Touch ID in the power button, and supports the new Magic Keyboard.
• iOS 14 / iPadOS 14 / watchOS 7 / tvOS → New releases with lots of great features for each device. One of the coolest updates in iOS 14 is App Clips which are small applets, discoverable at the point of use, so you can preview an app for a specific task.
