What’s Behind the “X” and Does it Make it the Phone for You? | Thingee’s Tech-Talk
iPhone X has been on sale worldwide for a month and though there’s been a lot of press surrounding the product launch and the first few weeks of sales, have you been able to really get down to the nitty-gritty on its use, features, tech capabilities, etc.? Well, Thingee’s Tech-Talk is here to take you there and to give you a common-sense, user-focused review of this device.
So clearly, there are a lot of features packed into this palm-sized device. Key to security, ease of use and functionality are:
- Face ID – facial recognition security
- Wireless charging
- Edge to edge OLED screen
- Longer-lasting battery life
- Water resistant
- Front-facing “selfie” camera*
*ok so this one may be more “key” for the 20-something crowd but it’s still a cool feature.
Overall… “Bravo to Apple.” We think Apple has done an amazing job in the development of this smartphone device. Yes, we are required once again to relearn our gesture manipulations (i.e. swipe-up, drop-down) to access apps and functions, but the iPhone X is intuitively designed so we don’t think this will be a stumbling block for most folks. And, again, just be on the lookout for nefarious “facejacking” attempts by friends and family and we think you’ll be just fine.
Do you have an iPhone X already? Looking to buy one as a gift this holiday season? We’re here if you want to learn more or have questions or ideas on how to maximize the device’s capabilities, just give us a call. We’d love to chat.
Thanks for watching,
