Home pods and iPhones and 5G (Oh My!): The Apple Announcement Lowdown

This week in Tech Talk the big news is Apple’s October 13 event announcing new products, including the HomePod mini, 5G support, and new iPhone 12 models.

The HomePod mini, the latest addition to the HomePod smart speaker family, promises impressive sound quality, tight integration with other Apple products, and even greater personalization (i.e., individual family member recognition).

5G is set to revolutionize the downloading experience, with speeds of up to 4Gbps.

Then the iPhones: the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models include 5G, edge-to-edge displays, faster chips, and amazing new camera features – Dolby Vision video, telephoto and wide camera capabilities, and a state-of-the-art LiDAR Scanner.
